The foundation was established in honor of my father, JH (Kosie) Pieters, from whom I had the privilege to learn the wonderful
game of golf. Starting as a caddy and growing into an eager golfer has enriched my life and in honor of my father, a golfing
gentleman, I wish to create a platform from which the youth can be introduced to, and motivated to learn the game of golf.

Golf teaches the player of the game to use all his or her skill, to learn strategy, to be honest, to have patience, to be a
gentleman (or lady) at all times and above all to remain humble. These all happen to be wonderful life-skills off the golf course,
a great benefit to any person on their journey through life.
The foundation is registered as a Non-Profit Organization (“NPC”) and a board of directors will administer all funds donated to
the NPC to ensure that the objective of the foundation, youth golf development, is achieved. The foundation will adhere to sound
accounting principles to ensure that all funds received are accounted for as per the donors instructions.
As a first project the foundation will from 2018 sponsor an annual competition, The Kosie Pieters Youth Development Cup, played at the
Hermanus Golf Club. The format will be similar to the current FEDEX CUP where all junior golfers will accumulate points by playing a monthly
Individual Stableford competition based on their formal handicap. The player accumulating the most points over a 9 month period (February to
October 2018) will win the Cup. Annual prizes will be determined by the board to make it attractive for players to improve and play the best
possible golf over this period. Monthly prizes and snacks will also be sponsored.
The Foundation will also endeavor to assist financially disadvantaged youth by supplying funds for equipment, assisting with fees for tours or
golf development courses. Any assistance required within the ambit of youth golf development will be considered by the directors.
We invite any individual or entity to assist us in the golf development of our youth by donating funds, sponsoring events, offering your
skills, or in any other way which can be beneficial to this cause.
